Seol Bang is one of the newest Bingsu places in BGC. Their emphasis on this flavorful Korean dessert was evident in their interiors. As I approached the place, their dsiplay shelves showed a variety of mixes and flavors of Bingsu.
Their interiors were truly filled with color. The edges were draped with neon lights; and the LED sign screamed out the place's name. It was a welcome sight for those looking for dessert.
Note the cool, cozy interiors fit for young diners.
The place even had a spectacular view of the Venice Grand Canal, complete with boats.
The menu selection.
We had the Peacebols at Php 75. It was an amalgamation of fried fish and squidballs. Quite strange that a Bingsu place serves; but I must say that the quantity didn't disappoint. This was enough to constitute my dinner for the night.
The Mango Cheesecake Bingsu (Php 239 for small /Php 339 for big) was a combination of shaved ice with mango, cheesecake, nuts, whipped cream, and mango and caramel syrup for toppings. The inner layers of the shaved ice were jam packed with the same toppings on the outside. I must say that every bite had a sweet creamy taste by the winning combination of mangoes and cheesecake.
Salted Caramel Cookie (PHP 259 for small/PHP 379 for big) was a generous helping of caramel syrup and Lotus biscuits which were ground and in bits. It had a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top to add creaminess to the mix.
We ended the meal with a Grilled Cheese sandwich with Strawberry Puree at Php 220. It was an entire sandwich with melted cheese toasted to a crisp. The strawberry puree added so much sweetness to the mix.
Seol Bang is truly a good dessert place for those looking for their Bingsu fix. It is located at 2/F Venice Grand Canal Mall, McKinley Hill, Taguig City.
